was just wondering what helluvafast was doing for new years and see if you guys/gals wanted to combine it with sty?

yep

we have some suggestions on a private yacht (hella expensive) or a suite (moderately expensive) or just dinner at a restaurant and embarcadero countdown via muni (cheap)

wanted to see if helluvafast wanted to join? or if we can join your plans. yep...planning ahead cuz prices tend to skyrocket as we lag

since prices increase vastly as it gets closer to new years eve, for our group, we have a deadline of dec 2, 2007 to choose so that we can book things in advance...just fyi in case u guys wanna join us, deadline to choose is dec 2, this sunday

the more people, the cheaper it gets....

did you have numbers to go with these? I have no clue what I'm doing for new years yet.

as for the yacht, there is a wide wide price range depending on the number of people going

18 people, about 150-200 bux / person
32 people, about 70-120 bux / person

this includes 3-4 hour rental, port fees, tax, food, alcohol

but once again, the later we wait, the more expensive these prices will be

and these are suggestions, we are still debating clubbing, yacht, suite, or dinner....so nothing on sty's side is finialized...i'm just posting this here cuz if you guys wanna join in the yacht, we will prob pick that since the more people, the cheaper it will be for all

so is this thing limited to 32 people... or the max. capacity? and if so how may people from the sty going???

fume711
12-04-2007, 08:57 PM
right now, the prices went up like crazy..in a week.....so i ono if we are doing it anymore...after we found out the prices as of now, it looks dim, but for information wise

max 50 people,
approx total prices:
$5300 with cash bar (pay for drinks), $6280 with open bar (don't pay for drinks)
what it includes - Dinner and sailing around the bay and fireworks , 4 hours,
board at 10pm and off at 2am
3 staff to pamper us, and 1 captain, boat rental, staff fees, chef fee, food fee,
bar fee

as you can see, the price / individual depends on the number of people going....it can easily range from 150-250 per person....so yeah..a lil too pricey

yap...no prob...i didn't do much research...it was other people in our group that did it hahah..but yeah..since the price went up, we might not be doing it too hahha..but if there is a sudden change and enough sty/helluvafast people go to bring the price down...it may be reconsidered

I talked to chris and he said he could get the pre-sale price for sure which is like 60 bucks but he's trying to see if he could get it cheaper. So get ready to pay at least 60.

Also, chris will be getting some free tickets but don't know how many yet. He's going to give some to helluvafast first then what ever left over could be sty. Or we could divide it equally so the price will be lower. So we need to figure this out, and get all the cash before we get the ticket.

fume711
12-13-2007, 10:49 PM
yeah... we bought our tickets...which sux hahaha but if u wanna help reduce cost of our funds...we are more than willing to accept donations hahhahahhaha

Finally took the time to read some of the stuff on the website.

http://topoftheworldsf.com/faq.html

Is there a dress code?
Dress code will be strictly enforced at this formal event. Black-tie optional. Jackets required for gentlemen. We recommend formal attire for the ladies as well. After all, it is New Years!

What does hosted bar mean?
Your ticket includes the cost of all alcoholic beverages consumed. This is a long evening folks, so please pace yourself and be responsible. It's a marathon, not a sprint. There is a two drink limit per order. The bartenders will not serve to customers that are too intoxicated. Please tip your bartenders.
