daniel's parents and my parents are throwing a bbq at the Concord Community Park on July 4. this is the same park that daniel, rick, and connie had their graduation party. it'll probably be crowded as fuck, but (as what Dice always sayZ) eh, "whatevers".
we need a head count so we know how much food to bring. for those not familiar with this park, there's swimming, basketball, baseball, area for volleyball, bbq areas, and fetching grounds for those who like to fetch sticks and balls
if you guys want to go i think it's better to play volleyball (even though i super suck at it) than basketball because it will get helluva hot there!
if you would like a bbq gathering mainly for team helluvafast & associates only, we can arrange another bbq solely for that. but regardless who or how many people go, daniel's and my parents will be coordinating this.
so, who's going?

I think this is the first time I heard about this BBQ officially. So yeah, I'll be there!
HEY RICK!
As for the Volleyball Net, didn't we all chip in for one for our graduation BBQ? or did someone bring that? Can you check on it. I will be busy helping COWBOY coordinate the food!
As for other food:
Maybe we can put an order in to DS Market for some stuff. Can we get the LSDOHC RAY discount?
Will update as I get more info.

I surely don't have a net!!! If anyone has a net, it would be Connie!!! But I don't think we bought one, all we really chipped in for was the generator, food, and that cooler with the cool cup dispenser....

I C...
oh yeah, need to find that cooler on wheels thingy... that was tight!!!! It's somewhere in the garage.
Also, for those who went to my BBQ over the weekend. Those ribs where picked up at SUNSET SUPER on vicente st. $10.00 bought all those ribs. How did you guys like it? I may go there and get some food too. It's cheaper than "White GHost" supermarket!

I say ask Ray C. about DS Market first...those were good and I'm sure it should cost around the same as Vicente...hopefully...

I don't know what prices are but the prices are usually pretty cheap from DS. So somebody make the call, no I'm not calling to ask for prices... the prices we get are usually rediculous so I don't to shop anyways... its just up to you guys... whatever works.
Also that net you guys speak of is kinda broken and I remember Connie bought it right? Drove around forever looking for it just to have some asian kid with a Affro slowly step on it to make it go "SNAP!"

Sounds good, but there doesn't seem to be too much food food on that list so we should definitely pick-up some more real food either from SUNSET SUPER or DS Market with the LSDOHC Ray discount. Remember, we will most likely be there all day, so we need to plan accordingly. Once I find out what my parents are bringing I will post it up.
Also RAY WONG would like to meet up at the San Francsico COSTCO (btwn Folsom & Harrison on 10th) today WED JULY,2 @ 5pm so we can get started on getting some food for the BBQ. From his past experience, he said that during 3-day weekends, things get sold out, i.e., buns, patties etc etc.
Danksi has already gotten 2-cases of Corona
RESPOND to this POST if you can make it!

I'll try to make it there... I talk to Ray W. already. My idear is that all food is bought and cost be divided up evenly among the goers... that way 1 person doesn't bring cups and someone else bring ribs! :WTF?: :bash:

I second that motion!
DOHC-LSR
07-02-2003, 03:44 PM
also if we buy all the food and split up cost later the laggers which is only 96% of us. Won't be hated as much when they arrive at 7:30PM with the ice, chairs, burgers and charcoal. And the early birds got there at 6:00AM with cups, hot beer, forks, and lots and lots of chips! .:pissed:

I triple that motion. Sounds like some of team STD will be showing up as well. So in order to fairly divide up the costs amongst everyone, it's better for 1 or a few people to be in charge of the food and then just divide it up amongst everyone who will be attending.
It doesn't really matter to me if we div' up the cost before the BBQ or during. I will be helping Ray Wong with this. Also, does anyone know which C.C. Costco accepts? I know it's not DISCOVER anymore?

it is american express..
no matter how it's going to be reimbursed....we still need many dollars up front...
meaning, who's gonna give daniel about $100 to buy supplies?

Yes, I've paid for the food... and the deposit on the Rafting trip... so now I am so far into the hole that space scientists want to study me. So yes, I would like volunteers to come up to me and say. "Hey Ray... thanks for front'n everything... how much I owe ya? I have the cash right here or I can write you a check. Here, just take this blank check and fill it in when you have the total."

theres no pricing, its usually pretty close to cost but then it depends on the manager's mood that day and how busy it is... you are better off with a head count and telling me what you want and how much you are willing to spend. Because your vague statement earlier included a lot of other stuff like chow mein and a order of approx $100. :WTF?:
currently yesterday's costco was $110. We still haven't gotten soder and ice and whatever else I'm forget'n

is there a price limit? If not I'll use my best judgement and if its too much than too bad, everyone will still have to pay me what I say.
this is what I got...
8 fam
5 misc
12 hell
5 sty
30
no where on here says the whole team hell is going... theres only a short list of 8 people.??? so I put 12. do you know something I don't?

Ricky we need your grill! so yea bring it!
people who invite last minute guest(s) are responsible for them and also for apologizing to us for not asking (informing) us first causing a lack of food situation... although cost maybe already covered before the last minute invites arrive - that is no reason why we should pay for their food and also had been the ones who had to prepare all this crap. :pissed: Therefore, I or Ray W. will still collect their share from their liason (the person who invited them) and put the money towards our next BBQ or whatever. I think thats fair, unless the person(s) don't eat.:rolls_eye
the liason can get their own money back from their buddy(s), yes buddy plural is buddys
