After half a month of searching, finally...no more "page not found" screens...that was sooooo annoying!!!!
ok, i guess i should have checked this out first, instead of googlin for solutions:

to summarize, manually put in the DNS address for the router, instead of automatically obtaining one
to find your dns address, go to:
http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.aspx
and type in your domain name for internet, ie: comcast.net
i just used the first 2 dns addy, even though it gave me three
