This place is about 1 hr north of us. A beautiful area to learn about cultivating oysters and shucking them. We are planning to do a 1 day trip (maybe 5 hrs) to eat and frolic around the area.

khristine: i'm not sure, i will have to call them to find out. i was going to wait until i have a number of heads, so i can get all my questions answered at once (such as cost, # people in our group, tours, etc.). but we are welcomed to bring our own food and picnic there

so this thing... do we just order oysters... or do we like have to get our own oysters or something...with the shucker knife... and how should we dress for this occassion... do we wear something we don't mind getting dirty (that's if we get dirty) or wat... i saw on tv that show, dirtiest job something like that, and its pretty messy... its like oysters are in mud or something... so yea...

you can trade cash for oysters. (there won't be a tour, just a store that sells oysters) bring some chairs and butter knives. dont' think you need to buy a specialized tool for shucking oysters when butter knives will do.

dress as if you'll be going to a bbq or hiking. hopefully, it won't be raining.

well, we can see the exact place where it's cultivated and we have choices from 5 or 6 different types of oysters + mussels & clams....

am i sensing 2nd thoughts.....if so, press 1, so i can plan out what i need to do friday to prep saturday....

the event will be approx 4-5 hrs...most likely not to exceed 5 hrs. (thinking about catching mission impossible 3, at night..heh)we will be taking some pictures of the scenary, play some games, eat, play frisbee and donk rocks...oh yea, cut concrete
