Received a New Credit and now you have to call them to "Activate" it?

No you don't. Atleast from my Experience from 3 different Major Credit card companies. It TOTAL BULLSHIT! Don't waste your fucking time calling a stoopid recording to pretend activate your new credit card. You don't enter any numbers, don't enter any codes or pins... so :WTF?: ??? how are you "activating" this credit cards? My phone has caller ID blocked so they don't even know where I'm calling from... and I activated in the past with my Cell Phone anyways.

Why do you have to call to "activate" your new card? Well, you don't.. the fucking thing already works. They just want your stupid ass to call so they can have that guy/gal come on the phone after their pre recorded "your card is now activated" message comes on so they can read you the telemarketing message and ask you to buy option insurance and other bullshit "special offers". :thumbs_do :thumbs_do :thumbs_do

~Ray, using 2 "unactivated" credit cards regularly.

~Ray, actively using 3(three) "unactivated" credit cards regularly.

guess they changed this since 2 years ago... my 2 NEW recently received cards have been rejected so far giving messages to "see attendant" when I tried them at the gas station... luckily my third one still works.

So to further test out the whole activation thing.. I called them both. 1 ask for the CC number and other person info from the card and my identity all in digit form. Then it said please wait while we transferred you to a rep to complete the activation. I hung at this point as I think the BS is about to start and my card should be already activated... since this is a test and I don't really need this card active now... I'll consider this a test for me and other's who are interested.

The second card asked for similar info, but asked for my old card number towards the end. I already shredded it... and my numbers has changed with this new card. I entered the option to proceed without my old card.... and it said it would transfer me to a rep. I again hung at this point for testing purposes.... I'll post in a few weeks to follow up again
