Gues everyone has got midterms now... since its all quiet, but I'll REPOST here since Bew nor anyone else answered me in the HelluvaFast BBS.
Hey Bew, how many "bars" do you have in your car stiffening the chassis? Which ones you think actually help? Which ones you think are just there for looks? And how much they cost? I'm thinking about getting some
As of right now I'm thinking of just adding the USDM Type-R Rear Sway Bar. What brand did you get? ST? Did you get bushings too? Poly??? http://www.23rdavenue.net/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/repost.gif

haha yea i got lazy and rarely visit that fourm now hehe.
anyHOOO (als line)
i got the ST front rear sway set it came with POLy bushings cuz the stock ones wont handle the extra stiffness. i got it for 240 shipped. IMO that is the only bars that has a noticeable difference. u can get the itr 22mm rear sway but i tried that with the ST one just with the rear one it felt okay but it is really twichy on the freeway. and wen u hang it feels like car is going to spin out. then i added the front ST sway OH god it was heaven. the turns was quick respoonsive and no lean at all. but if u do end up gettin those i suggest gettin stiff spring rates becuz it is bottoming out my srping/shock combo.
if u get the sway bars u should/recommend/need the other other bars. becuz the extra stiffness will add a lot of stress on ur chasis. and those bars will help prevent chasis warp if u end up flexing ur body at like 100MPH thru a turn http://www.23rdavenue.net/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/grinning.gif . well i found out there is a difference in cheap ones and good ones. i got cheap imation itr upper strut and rear sturt bars. and they are crap wen i pound on them the bars bend a lil thats not good. spend a good 80 bux for those. so if u are serious invest in a mugen one or neuspeed one is good too.
now for the tie bars. i got the front lower tie bar and the rear one is coming in around nov/decish from japan (damn that lockout my bar is sitting in the bay somewhere on those ships) IMO i think the bars is there to just help out the sway bars. it does more work that the strut braces i think but in my experience without them the front end was a lil loose ocne i put it on it fixed that. no info on the rear one yet cuz it is still on a ship somewhere i'll tell u if there is a difference or not with that lower tie bar. but i think it is just for show that one. but hey i gotta be complete hehe.
and finally for my infamous C pillar brace. aka poor man roll cage effect. this bar actually helped alot but not more than the sways. u know that creaking noise for lowered hondas it make wen i angle off of driveways well this makes that dissappear which means it is doing it job to prevet chasis flex. i also notice that the c brace gave a lot of extra stiffness to the rear. now wen i hook turns the rear tends to loose traction and the front will pull to one side making and oversteer effect how i know i almost veered off black mountain road hehe oops. but yea wen i do turns the nose tends to dive toward the turn or in GT3 words the apex of the turn hahahah.
thats my 2 pennys
so in the in end if u want a noticeable turns get the sway bars and if u have money get all the other bars they really help each other out. and if u have extra cash to spend get the rear c pillar seatbelt brace. u will loose the comfy rear seats but hey ur not the passenger. oh yea if u want a pic of the rear pillars ask rich he still might have the pic of one. im not sure tho.
wow this was long i should like write an essay on BARS- SHOW OR GO hahaha oh well enjoy reading!!!
all of this info is based on my experience so they can be true or false who knows have fun drive safe. and no drifting in front of cops..... http://www.23rdavenue.net/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/owned.gif

I think I'm just gonna get the ITR rear sway bar. My stock front swaybar SHOULD be 24mm which I think is larger than your stock bar (22.1mm) and should be adequate (I hope). The ST front bar should also be 24mm too right? I'm trying to stay on a budget so I'm finding reasons NOT to get additional stuff for my car. http://www.23rdavenue.net/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif Cleaned my injectors today, car seems to run a little smoother, I wonder if I can get more MPG! http://www.23rdavenue.net/forum/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/cool.gif
